Loehmann’s executive Elizabeth Mazziotta dies

Betty, as her family and friends knew her, grew up on Bainbridge Avenue in the Bronx, where she cultivated lifelong friendships. To this day, these friends have been devoted to each other in so many ways.  Betty was a graduate of Cathedral High School and has maintained friendships from there as well.

At age 16, Betty began working as a stock girl for Loehmann’s and retired as director of Employee Benefits after a legendary 40-year career with the company.

In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time socializing, going to Broadway shows and vacationing at Bradley Beach on the Jersey Shore.  She loved visits from her grandniece and grandnephews, too.

Also in her retirement, Betty enjoyed her volunteer work at Saint John’s School where she worked in the library.  Betty was an animal lover and adored her dogs Samson and Bradley.

Betty’s smile and joy for all will be missed.

All funeral arrangements are being handled by Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, Inc.
