1. Bar employees get into fight
3541 Riverdale Ave.
Bronx, NY
Police said two employees of the Riverdale City Grill, located at 3541 Riverdale Ave., were in an argument on May 8 when one of them assaulted the other. The victim, 28, told police that his co-worker, 25, became violent and kicked a bucket of ice at the victim. When the victim asked the perpetrator to leave, he threw a metal ice scooper, injuring his co-worker in the left cheek and eye. The perpetrator left the scene and has not yet been arrested. The felony assault case is open to detectives.
2. Uber driver targeted
2811 Exterior St.
Bronx, NY
An Uber driver was dropping off a customer at 2811 Exterior St. when the same customer reached over and stole his phone and wallet, according to police. The thief reportedly grabbed the 53-year-old victim’s iPhone 6 and wallet, which contained a driver’s license and credit and debit cards. The grand larceny case is open to detectives.
3. Attempted burglar caught
3607 Tibbett Ave.
Bronx, NY
Police said they arrested a man who attempted to burglarize a woman’s home at 3607 Tibbett Ave. on May 15. The victim, a woman of unknown age, said that the man removed the window of her home and entered at 4:47 a.m. Police responded on scene and caught the defendant, 35, who faces charges of attempted burglary. The case is closed due to the arrest.
4. Grand larceny
Riverdale Avenue and West 235th Street
Bronx, Ny
A 28-year old man parked his car on the corner of Riverdale Avenue and West 235th Street on May 8, according to police. They said when he returned the following day, he found that someone had entered his car and taken miscellaneous items. There was no reported sign of damage to the 2000 Hyundai sedan or the area around it. The case remains open to the detective squad.
5. Parking lot vandals
45-13 Manhattan College Parkway
Bronx, NY
Police said an unknown perpetrator keyed the side of a Jeep Grand Cherokee inside the Manhattan College parking lot located at 45-13 Manhattan College Parkway. The victim, 39, told police that the car was scratched sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on May 12. The incident reportedly caused $250 in damage. The criminal mischief case is still open to detectives.
