LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Not buying what Klein is selling

Posted

To the editor:

No surprise here. And no surprises.

I have railed at Sen. Jeff Klein’s self-serving behavior for quite some time. And I do not want any more surprises from him.

I trust Alessandra Biaggi, a fresh young face in politics. One whose baggage does not include bailing on constituents to support his own ego.

I want someone who understands how important it is to stand up to a POTUS and his party whose aim is to economically debilitate our district and our state.

To support legislation, sponsor it, and to usher it through the state senate where such vital legislation has been held hostage by Sen. Klein’s untoward behavior toward his constituents.

I want a woman in the room, not “four white men in a room” making decisions which so strongly affect our wives, mothers, daughters and granddaughters.

It’s time Sen. Klein not be rewarded for his unseemly actions, but to be retired by voters for them. This is how democracies work.

I just don’t trust Sen. Klein to do the right thing. No more Independent Democratic Conference? What is to stop Sen. Klein from finding alternate paths to assuage his ego? After all, past behavior is a leading indicator of future behavior. Just ask any psychologist.

Others may believe that Sen. Klein is now going to actually start listening and acting on behalf of his constituents after six-plus years of serving … Jeff Klein. I am not buying what he is selling. Neither should the voters of our district.

Vote for Alessandra Biaggi for state senate. It’s time for a positive change for the better. It’s time to vote for us, the constituents, and not for Jeff Klein.
