Posted

Detectives investigating Tuesday's murder of Pedro Almonte-Sanchez are looking for a teenager they believe could be connected to the shooting.

Police need help in finding Zachary Brown, 19, described as 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. Officials won't say if he's a suspect or a person of interest, but he does have a rap sheet with the 50th Precinct, including an arrest this past July for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Almonte-Sanchez, 39, was gunned down in front of his 85 Strong St., home early Tuesday evening, while a 25-year-old man was grazed with a bullet. According to reports, the shooting took place while Almonte-Sanchez's 15-year-old son looked on.

By the time police arrived Tuesday, Almonte-Sanchez had died. His son was unhurt.

Anyone with information on Brown should called the Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-8477, or visit the Crime Stoppers website at NYPDCrimeStoppers.com. They also can text tips to 274637, and then entering "TIP577."

All calls, police say, are strictly confidential.
