To the editor:
I can’t imagine the joy Vladimir Putin must be feeling right now.
To see the chaos. The American government shut down for weeks.
Our aviation, Coast Guard, Homeland Security put at risk, must fill him with glee. And federal workers standing on food lines because they have not gotten paid must make him lift a glass of vodka and say, “Well done.”
America in chaos, weakened in the eyes of the world. What could be sweeter to Putin? The millions of dollars Russia spent to get Donald Trump elected has paid off beyond Putin’s wildest dreams.
