Rose Ann Milo, who was born and raised in the Bronx and resided in Riverdale, passed away on Oct. 7, 2013. 

Ms. Milo owned Baby It’s You, a children’s boutique in Riverdale.  She also worked as a hair stylist for more than three decades. 

Ms. Milo battled pancreatic cancer for two years and was treated by an excellent medical team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Generous and hardworking, Ms. Milo displayed a creative vision for all that she did. She was a special person who will be missed by many. 

Ms. Milo was part of the Riverdale community for more than 40 years and brought with her a vibrant spirit. She was a force behind revitalizing the South Riverdale neighborhood and worked tirelessly in 2012 with the South Riverdale Merchants Association to have the First Annual Festival.

Ms. Milo was passionate about supporting pancreatic cancer research to help find a cure. Donations may be made in her memory at www.mskcc.convio.net/goto/RoseAnnMilo.

Details for a memorial celebration to honor Ms. Milo’s life and her community spirit and fundraising efforts for pancreatic cancer research are forthcoming.

Ms. Milo is survived by her sister Cynthia Milo, many cousins and countless friends.
