Police have made a second arrest in the fatal stabbing of a 28-year-old man last month.

Jeremy Ramirez, 18, of 2800 Bailey Ave., was picked up Wednesday, charged with murder, manslaughter and gang assault. He joined 16-year-old Jeremiah N. Melendez, of nearby 2810 Bailey Ave., who was arrested earlier this month and charged with second-degree murder.

The charges stem from an April 13 altercation at 2829 Sedgwick Ave., that left Ronnie Gardner of West 204th Street, stabbed in the thigh. Gardner was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Following the stabbing, the 50th Precinct started looking for four men in connection with the stabbing, including one with dark curly hair last seen wearing a striped soccer jersey and black hooded sweatshirt, a second one with a blue du-rag and dark clothing. A third had close-cut black hair, last seen wearing a red and black sweatshirt with gray pants and black sneakers, while a fourth wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and black sneakers.

Officers did not say if Melendez or Ramirez were among those being sought above.
