Solemn day for firefighters

Posted

Time may have faded the photographs of three Riverdale firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11, but not the memories of Ladder 52. The New York City Fire Department company stood for six moments of silence for all the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, occasionally going inside to watch the reading of the names. Nearly 3,000 people were killed that day, included 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers.
