Mike Carey, right, and his daughter Kerianne, 19
Mike: “This summer I hopefully plan on enjoying the people of New York, the flavors of the restaurants on Johnson Avenue, the new improved Whitehall, and I just hope to relax a little bit.”
Kerianne: “I’m working part-time, studying for exams like the GRE, learning how to drive, and taking nightly walks around Riverdale.”
Thomas Davis
“Just kind of hanging out with the family, hanging out with friends, and maybe just kind of relaxing and doing bit of self reading.”
Abraham Guzman, 40
“Work. That’s it, work. I might go out with my daughters and have a little good time with them, but that’s about it. I plan to move to London soon. My wife lives out there.”
Maureen Norberto
“Cape Cod in August. We’ve been doing it for years. My husband and I, when we first got married, we went up there on our honeymoon. And that’s all they used to talk about, Cape Cod, when the Kennedys were big, you know, when JFK was in office. It’s beautiful. Have you been there? Oh, it’s heavenly.”
Andreea Grigorescu, age 14
“Well, I’m going to Florida to visit my cousins. And I guess for the rest of the summer, I’m going to camp to work as a counselor, kind of help out some people. I’m also going to go and hang out with my friends if they’re not doing anything else. But yeah, that’s basically it.”
