The Bail Trap: American Ransom -- a Bronx Community Film Screening and Conversation

In its second annual Martin Luther King Day event on critical issues relating to mass incarceration and criminal justice, North Bronx Racial Justice Coalition will hold a screening of the 2017 film, "The Bail Trap: American Ransom," followed by conversation with speakers. Money bail is one of the main causes of mass incarceration in the United States. But few people know what the money bail system is, how it works, the racism behind it, or why we need to abolish it. Join us to learn and take action.
