Laura Levine-Pinedo, manager of Bronx Burger House and founder of the 4Bronx Project, shown with Joanna Edmonson, owner of he Female Fight Club, at the March 8 Riverdale women recognition event at the Riverdale Temple. It was held on International Women’s Day. They came up with the idea for the event that honored 33 women from greater Riverdale. The two entrepreneurs, winners of a state award for outstanding women, wanted to honor the many women in Riverdale, Kingsbridge, Spuyten Duyvil and Van Cortlandt who give tremendous time and energy to making life better in our community. It was sponsored by 42 area shops and companies.
