A business school is born

After 10 years, interim Lehman College business school dean Dene Hurley converted its economic and business departments into an entire school. The School of Business at Lehman College officially launched July 1 while opening its doors to students on Aug. 25. The official inaugural event was hosted on Sept. 15 in front of its Performing Arts Center Plaza. There are 1,500 business and economic majors are enrolled in the schools three departments: accounting, finance and economics. The event featured, Bronx borough president Vanessa Gibson, alumni, donors and student representatives.
