A woman, who lives on the 5800 block of Arlington Avenue, was scammed out of $200 while trying to sell furniture on Facebook Marketplace.

The victim told police she was trying to sell a stand on the site when a potential buyer contacted her on Sept. 13 around 7 a.m.

The buyer said that before they bought the stand, they needed the victim to send over $200 through an online money-transfer service, which the victim did.

The perp then pushed their luck and said they needed another $500, at which point the victim realized she was being conned. No arrests have been made.
