1. Porter assaulted
710 Webb Ave.
Bronx, NY
Police said the porter at 710 Webb Ave. was assaulted as he took out the trash on March 7 at 1:17 a.m. The victim said while he was moving the garbage, he saw the perpetrator dropping litter on the street and told him to stop. While the victim was turned around, the attacker grabbed a broomstick and hit the porter over the head and fled the scene. The case remains open to detectives.
2. Laundromat burglary
3114 Bailey Ave.
Bronx, NY
Early Sunday morning, the owners of the Bailey Avenue Laundromat found their store had been broken into. Police said that sometime after closing at 11 p.m. on March 26, someone broke into the building, located at 3114 Bailey Ave., and took $2,000 from the register and coin machine. The case is still open to detectives.
3. One motorcycle stolen...
3165 Kingsbridge Terrace
Bronx, NY
Another Honda CBR 600 was stolen the same week, this time from in front of 3165 Kingsbridge Terrace. The victim, a 26-year old male, told police that he parked his bike at the location around 6 p.m. on March 26. When he returned around 5 p.m. on Monday, he found the vehicle missing. A search for the $9,000 motorcycle produced negative results and this case is closed to detectives.
5. Van stolen
Fieldston Avenue and Mosholu Avenue
Bronx, NY
A 54-year-old man reported his car stolen to police on Sunday, after not driving the vehicle in over eight months. The victim told police that he last saw the car parked on the corner of Fieldston and Mosholu avenues on March 21 at 8 p.m. He valued his 1990 Dodge Caravan at $800. This case is closed to the detective squad.
