Colossal money waste

My family has been living on Palisade Avenue for the past 26 years. We do not recall any incidents of pedestrians being hit by cars or cars getting into an accident at the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Kappock Street. As I said to Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, who was watching the work being done, “This is a colossal waste of taxpayer money.”

Three stop signs would have made the intersection safer for far less money. If the city’s transportation department is so concerned for our safety, the money would have been better spent by creating a sidewalk on the east side of Palisade between Kappock and West 231st Street.
