Students will jump-start a cybersecurity education at no cost in up to 26 weeks.
New York City Economic Development Corp. announced its second annual fellowship program for low-income students.
Through its Cyber NYC initiative that focuses on developing the cyber workforce of the future will provide full tuition to Fullstack Cybersecurity Analytics Boot camp.
This year the program will offer $400,000 in scholarships.
The scholarships are open to full-time or part-time students for August — applications are open now, and to qualify, a student over 18 years old must be accepted.
In addition, students will need a high school diploma or equivalent and earn less than $50,000 annually.

Joanne Edmondson celebrated her daughter Jolin Edmondson’s graduation on June 4. This was not a traditional cap and gown ceremony as graduates wore blue suits. Edmondson graduated as valedictorian from the New York Military Academy. She had also been a graduate from P.S. 81 and 142.
The college preparatory co-ed boarding school is located in Cornwall, is one of the oldest military schools in the United States. Originally, it enrolled boys strictly. The school started admitting girls in 1975.
Fairfield University is on the Connecticut coastline, just 60 minutes away from the city that does not sleep. The university is proud of showing the growth and journeys of its students as they graduate.
This year the college announced the following greater Riverdale residents made its dean’s list for honors for spring 2022: Lily Becker, Ann Dailey, Jacob Fadda, David Marrero and Brendan McCormick.
These students each completed a minimum of 12 credits in the semester and have attained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Jackson Shortell, a 2021 graduate of Riverdale / Kingsbridge Academy, was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring 2022 semester. He is a freshman in the software engineering program.
Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for dean’s list if their GPA for the term is greater than or equal to 3.400, they do not have any grades of “Incomplete,” “D” or “F” and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
RIT is home to leading creators, entrepreneurs, innovators and researchers. Founded in 1829, the school enrolls about 19,700 students.
