Emma Schlossman, who will live in our hearts forever, 91
Emma Schlossman, 91, a longtime Riverdale resident, passed away with her family by her side, on Jan. 1, 2021, of natural causes.
Raised in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Esther and Isidor Eckert.
Her husband, Raphael Schlossman, preceded her in death in 1982.
As a Barnard College graduate, she worked as an office manager and bookkeeper for the Riese Bros., as well as several other fine New York City establishments.
A beloved mother and Grandma Dinnie, she is survived by her daughter Ilene Schlossman Cohen, son-in-law Paul Cohen, grandson Reid Cohen, granddaughter Blake Cohen, as well as many dear friends.
She was a woman of style, strength, resiliency and independence.
Her generosity, honesty and love for her family will be missed.
She will live in our hearts forever.
A private funeral service was held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
