Below is my rhyme about the times we are going through:
The man who would be king has no clothes
But how do we depose?
Wants bitcoin as coin of the realm
How to remove him from the helm?
This is our Labor, from mountaintop to beach
We’ll march, rally and preach, to impeach!
On January 6, an attempted coup
A murderous mob led by you-know-who
And now capital rioters want to sue!
We’ll march, rally and preach, to impeach!
His crimes are many, 42 felonious
He’s mendacious and oh so sanctimonious
His tariffs are regressive
His coffers repossessive
We’ll march, rally and preach, to impeach!
Can’t be held accountable
House, Senate, SCOTUS are impoundable
It all seems insurmountable
We’ll march, rally and preach, to impeach!
We must struggle for our freedoms
Labor for our rights
Our democracy is eroding folks
Speak out, stand up and fight!
He is vindictive, has an enemy list
You know what to do, resist, resist, I insist!
Wants a land grab in Greenland
Wants Canada as 51st state
Gulf of America, redrawing the map
Haven’t you had enough of this crap?
Cut USAID, our soft diplomacy influence
NIH, CDC our health care competence
NPR and PBS our news source confidence
SNAP and Medicaid safety nets
FEMA and NOAA weather service, are you nervous yet?
Dismantling the DOE wants an undereducated base
Bromancing Putin, such a disgrace
Where did our country go, can’t recognize the place!
Putin’s not our friend, Donald is his poodle
We must defend Ukraine, use your noodle!
Funding ICE to the max, masked men in the night
Round up immigrant workers
You know it isn’t right
Detained at Alcatraz and Alligator Alley
You know what to do, get on your feet, march and rally!
He’s replaced cabinet experts with toadies loyal
Tell me that’s not acting royal!
Teflon Don acts with impunity
why should a criminal enjoy such immunity?
Those who oppose meet threats of removal
Most bow down and pander for approval
His tariffs will bring fewer toys to tots, while
Our taxes upgrade his gold-walled Qatari jet, $400 million is lots
His policy pivots make the stock market dive
And consumer prices soar, enough of this jive, we can’t take anymore!
We’re poorer, less secure, and less healthy
The ones who thrive are the extremely wealthy
This Labor Day let’s stop the war on workers
Defend due process and the Constitution
The integrity of every beloved institution
He’s making public services private, defunding our schools
Why should this swindler be making all the rules?
He’s attacking our unions, corporate elites overpower us
Vote the GOP out before they devour us
Get up, stand up, every one of us.
It’s too critical to leave it to the some of us!
