To the editor:
Nobody I know is racist. You are so focused on the macro, we will never heal. The more important vector is in our micro-relationships with neighbors, front-line workers, and all the humans we encounter in our daily lives.
Say “good morning” with a nod or smile as past generations did.
The sum of every micro-conversation and relationship builds a foundation of trust and community, regardless of background.
Sure, we can disagree on some issues and principles, and that’s why we have elections for the collective good. If everyone approached life with positivity and cooperation, we’d be in a better place and need less governance.
The United States of America is still a gift of a better life. The glass is more than half-full. We are all in this boat together.
