To the editor:
The Riverdale Press, in its continuing efforts to sell its opinion on national affairs, often neglects the Riverdale cited in its flag.
Witness the issue of June 9 which, buried with 11 other local events under “What’s On?” three short sentences further buried under the heading “Busy summer at Van Cortlandt Park.”
The fact that, after a COVID-19 virus-canceled two-year hiatus, the New York Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra would reintroduce its first free summer “Music in the Parks” program.
It would include a spectacular fireworks-concluded evening in Van Cortlandt Park the coming week.
When you bury such a lead, where is The Riverdale Press’s nose for local news?
