Thank you for the well-deserved tribute to Sandy Shalleck. As a long-time staff member of Riverdale Neighborhood House, I was privileged to work with Sandy on many occasions.

Sandy always stopped by to see how things were going, and no one ever had to ask, “Who is that?”

Sandy worked closely with Carol Curtin, a long-time dedicated member of the neighborhood house, who also passed away in recent days. Sandy and Carol were both extremely bright, dedicated women whose talents moved Riverdale Neighborhood House through challenging times.

These two women played important roles in our community, and set examples as to how we can all contribute in our own way.
