NYPD is looking for subway slasher

The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the identity and whereabouts of an individual wanted in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 50 Precinct.

It was reported on Saturday, May 27 at approximately 8:30 a.m. that an unknown individual approached a 58-year-old male victim,on a MTA 1 train, in the area of Broadway and West 242 Street.

The individual engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim, then displayed a knife, and slashed the victim two times in his hand., police said. The individual fled out of the train station. The victim was removed by EMS to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The sought-after individual is described as a male, light complexion, braids, last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with lettering on the front, a dark New York Yankees baseball cap and dark pants.

NYPD looks to ID robbery suspects

The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man and a vehicle in connection to a robbery of a woman.

On Tuesday, May 16, the 63-year-old woman was walking near 5210 Broadway when a white Honda Accord pulled up next to her. The passenger exited the vehicle, slammed her to the ground, and stole her purse, according to police.

The man, caught on surveillance footage, fled northbound on Broadway in the vehicle. The woman’s stolen purse contained her cell phone, credit card and debit cards, and approximately $80 in cash.

The woman received minor injuries and was seen by EMS but did not require further medical attention.
