Crook crashes stolen cop car

1. Police have arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of stealing a marked police car in the 50th precinct and taking it for a joy ride through Fordham and Kingsbridge, the NYPD said Tuesday.

The man removed the car from the parking lot of the precinct at 3450 Kingsbridge Ave. at about 6 a.m. on Sunday and drove it out to the confines of the 52nd precinct, where he crashed into four parked cars.

According to an email from the deputy commissioner of public information, video surveillance caught footage of the vehicle crashing into the unoccupied cars in front of 2300 Sedgwick Ave., before its driver got out of the car, got into a Lincoln Town Car and drove away.

The suspect was in custody Tuesday, police said. He has been charged with grand larceny, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, the NYPD said.

2. A 61-year-old woman was robbed while taking out money at an ATM on Oct. 18, according to police.

The victim was withdrawing $80 from the Chase Bank on W. 231st Street and Broadway, police said. While the money was coming out, a man snuck up behind her and punched her.

Afterwards, the unknown suspect grabbed the money and fled.

3. In another incident the next day, a 31-year-old man was walking home in front of 6685 Broadway when three other men attacked him, police said.

The three men were walking in front of the victim but stopped suddenly and waited until the victim passed, before attacking him, according to police.

They stole a Spider-Man book bag, $250 in cash, a debit card and a cell phone worth $150, police said.

Both cases are still open to investigation.
