One woman’s opinion

To the editor:

The world watched in shock as the president and vice president of the U.S. attempted to browbeat and bully the President of Ukraine. Their goal was to gain control of rare earth minerals in Ukraine. Fans of the President and the press could easily have missed Trump’s failure. As he screamed at President Zelenskyy, “You don’t have the cards. You will be the cause of World War III”, it was easy to miss, that at the end of the day, Ukraine will maintain control of Ukraine’s valuable rare earth minerals.

Europe will fill the vacuum left by Trump’s withdrawal of support. They have no choice, since Russia’s aggression can be counted on. Russia will seek more territory in the world they believe they own. If World War III does start, it won’t be the fault of the quiet, dignified, and patriotic Zelensky. It will be the fault of the traitor occupying the oval office.
