Our country is going backward

To the editor:

With the anticipated re-criminalization of abortion, the United States of America — as a country — is like a disembarking airplane passenger who realizes that it left a garment onboard the airplane.

That person would be going in one direction while everyone else was going in the opposite direction.

In other words, the United States would become the first advanced democracy to recriminalize abortion after decriminalizing it.
