Gellin' away with robbery
2759 Sedgwick Ave.
Bronx, NY
A 37-year-old man told police that three teens cornered him in the lobby of 2759 Sedgwick Ave. at around 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 1, pulled a knife against his neck and ran off with his keys and a bag full of hair products.
Officers said one suspect put the 37-year-old in a “choke hold,” putting a knife up against his neck. A second young man snatched a bag with hair gel in it from his hand while the third suspect swiped keys from the 37-year-old’s jacket pocket, police said.
As the victim struggled with his assailants, police said he got cut on his right hand, but managed to bite the right hand of the suspect.
The commotion caught the attention of the victim’s brother-in-law, who police said opened the door, prompting the suspects to run off.
The case remains open.
