Politicians play ball

Posted

To the editor:

It is very well known that the Founding Fathers of our great nation were baseball fans.

Before it gets too cold, could the Democrats and Republicans play a few innings on a softball field, and then go out for a hot dog and a beer? They might learn the importance of listening to one another, and learning to work toward a common goal.

What a gift for the holidays that would be!

EDITOR’S NOTE: Although for sure intended to be tongue-in-cheek, just in case, the first baseball game was played in 1846.
