To the editor:
In Ohio on Feb. 8, a NewsNation reporter Evan Lambert was tackled, pushed to the ground, handcuffed and taken to jail.
This happened at a school gym while Gov. Mike DeWine was addressing a group of people.
Lambert was ordered to stop broadcasting. He refused.
He was tackled and taken to jail at the direction of Ohio National Guard Maj. Gen. John Harris.
Where is the outrage?
The governor stated that he did not authorize this, and “it has always been my practice that if I’m doing a press conference, someone wants to report out there to people-on channel-whatever, they have every right to be doing that.
“I have always respected the media’s right to report live before, during and after press briefings”
Freedom of the press?
