Stop buying single-use plastics

To the editor:

I write this letter to urge the community of Riverdale to consider using less single-use plastics.

The plastics crisis is continuously getting worse. And while the responsibility is not entirely on the consumer to fix the problems created by larger corporations, there are still actions we can take to help.

One of these actions is to reduce the number of single-use plastics products we purchase. These products can be hard to avoid, but it’s important that, as consumers, we do our best to not buy them when we can.

The things we choose to boycott can show companies that we, the consumers, are against the production of single-use plastics

They are ruining our environment.
