Thanks for hard work

To the editor:

With belated thanks to the hard-working staff from the Bronx nursery division of the city’s parks department, the southeast corner of the Palisade and Independence avenues intersection was cleared of brush and overgrown weeds, and converted into an appealing green space.

And importantly, the effort also reduced the likelihood of an accident, giving drivers from either direction better visibility.
