Thanksgiving robbery via scooter

There was a robbery on the corner of Sedgwick Avenue and Reservoir Avenue on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. According to police, a man was at that intersection when he was approached by two men on a blue scooter. One of the perps then flashed a firearm and demanded the victim’s phone and wallet. The perps took the phone and then fled south on Sedgwick Avenue. The phone is valued at $800, and no arrests have been made. 

Airbag taken

There was a grand larceny at 261 Broadway on Nov. 29 at 8 a.m. According to police, the victim returned to her 2020 Honda to discover the passenger side window had been smashed in and an airbag had been taken. The total value of the stolen property and damage was more than $1,000. No arrests have been made.

Punched and robbed

A robbery occurred on Nov. 26 at 12:30 p.m. in front of 2739 Claflin Ave. The victim told police that she was on her way to pay her cell phone bill when two people began tailing her. One of the perps shouted at the victim, and then the other punched the victim in the right cheek. The victim fell to the ground and the perps grabbed her purse and fled.

The police canvassed the area but could not locate the robbers, however there were cameras in the vicinity. The victim told police that the robbers were acquaintances of hers, but no arrests have been made.

The stolen property amounted to $100 in cash, credit cards, house keys and a cell phone — all totaling $180.
