Tires stolen from car on Fieldston Road

The wheels to a car were stolen from the 5400 block of Fieldston Road on Nov 18.

According to the police, the victim returned to their 2022 Honda and noticed that all the tires and rims were missing.

The rims were valued at $1,860 and the tires were valued at $720.

No arrests have been made.

Cyber extortion

A resident of Van Cortlandt Village was blackmailed recently by an online perp.

According to police, on Nov. 18, the victim received an email that said if the victim did not send over $500, then the perp would release private videos of the victim to his social media contacts.

The victim sent the money but then reported it to police. No arrests have been made so far.

The police are categorizing this incident as grand larceny by extortion.

Tires slashed

The tires of a car parked on the corner of West 236th Street and Oxford Avenue were slashed on Nov. 19 around 3 p.m.

According to the police, the victim got in an argument with an unknown male at the intersection.

When she returned to her 2019 Jeep later that day, both rear tires had been slashed. The victim did not see who did it, and there were no cameras in the vicinity. The police did not value the tire damage.

No arrests have been made.

One headlight

A woman returned to her car parked on the corner of 1 Perot St. on Nov. 21 around 6 p.m. to discover that her car had been broken into.

According to the victim, the driver-side window to her 2018 Mercedes had been smashed in and the headlight to the vehicle was missing.

The value of the headlight is $1,001 and an estimated $100 worth of damage was done to the window.

There is no description of the perp.
