Ukraine must take the offensive

Posted

To the editor:

As far as the war in Ukraine, I am now firmly of the opinion that we must not lose this conflict. The only two solutions is to force defeat or somehow create a “face saving” peace deal that will restore most of Ukraine — with the exception of the Crimea — and guarantees that Ukraine remains a neutral country.

However as of this writing the arrogant Russians are still mobilizing for total victory. The argument in Washington between defensive and offensive weapons is, in a word, ridiculous. Do you think Russia would send billions of dollars of weapons that could easily be easily neutralized by long-range missile attacks and be destroyed without consequences?

The insane argument about defensive versus offensive weapons is ludicrous. You cannot win either a fistfight or war without being able to counterpunch.

We must counter their massive genocidal attacks against Ukrainian cities and their populations by giving them weapon systems that can attack long-range missile launch bases — including naval platforms, land areas within occupied Ukraine and Russia.

What is the point in transporting advanced billions of advance NATO weapons systems to Ukraine that can easily be targeted and destroyed by long-range missile attack. Or allowing the continuous destruction of Ukrainian cities and infrastructure without retaliation to Russia.

In addition, the Russians already believe that we have been giving Ukraine targeting intelligence information, so we should now do so.

Does anybody think the genocidal Russian or Chinese military would adopt such a bizarre passive strategy? The Russians already presume — like they would — that we are giving them “targeting intelligence” and logistics, it’s time we do so!

As of this writing, the Russians — after being beaten backed into their corner of occupied Ukraine — are preparing to regroup and attack under the leadership of their new general whose war record only proves his murderous victories against poorly trained, uneducated, under-armed combatants like those of Syria.

I think the recent sinking of their missile cruiser Moskava is a welcoming card to him for the battles ahead. I am hoping and praying that Ukraine and its allies give Russia a knockout blow in the coming rounds.

And as concerns their scary dark threats, we should remind them that any use of chemical or nuclear weapons in this conflict might prove to be a suicidal move with catastrophic consequences. As would any attacks against Finland or Sweden if they should decide to join the NATO alliance.

The time has come to stand down the Russians and put another ugly, murderous dictator and his fanatical minions in their graves.

Live free or die.
