Yet another photo op

To the editor:

(re: “Protesters to city: We’re getting overlooked,” May 26)

Funny that headline, that story. I was under the impression that one of the many jobs of a representative — such as that of our city councilman, pictured on the front page of this paper — was working to represent constituents in their home districts.

Little things like getting local traffic hazards fixed properly, assuring peace and quiet in our community. And yes, more funds for constituencies — none of which seems to interest Eric Dinowitz, too busy taking a lap around the track in a photo op, demonstrating what, please?

Representatives introduce bills, make laws which benefit our council district, which he represents. Photo ops? Don’t recall seeing that in the job description.

I must have been mistaken, or misread the job description.

Shame on me.
