This really sounds like Charles Rangel did not even know where he was in The Bronx until he found out from his family.

Adam C Powell , IV , sadly has been duped (along with many) into believing Charlie Rangel will support him-when he steps down in 2016-after he wins again in 14. The problem with this theory, as many are now saying is that: he said the same thing- in the 2012 race- that this would be his last election

We are thrilled The Bronx Democratic Party hss decided to follow our lead (Northwest Bronx Democrats) in supporting a " non Rangel" candidate for Congressional office, abeit, they waited till all the hard work was done first. The NWBx Dems endorsed non Rangel candidates March 7th. The Party endorsed April 13th. The petition season was over April 7th

Hopefully that means, Ben Franklin can now endorse a non rangel candidate-without hurting their name nor doing the hard work
