Mount offers fast track to nursing

Posted

In response to the state of the economy and a shortage of practitioners in the field of nursing, the College of Mount Saint Vincent School of Professional and Continuing Studies is now offering an accelerated bachelor’s degree program in nursing.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has predicted a growing need in nurses in the future that cannot be satisfied by current numbers, so CMSV is working to accelerate prospective nurses into a much-sought-after and profitable field of work.

“The degree not only allows individuals to become more marketable in today’s economy, but it also positions them for rewarding careers in the growing field of health care,” said Edward Meyer, dean of CMSV, in a press release.
