The city’s parks department was joined by cast members of the Broadway musical ‘Wicked,’ the Broadway Green Alliance, Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and park volunteers last week to clean up and repaint the WPA-era Van Cortlandt Park stadium on Broadway in greater Riverdale.
The ‘Wicked’ cast also conducted similar ‘green-ups’ at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, and will do the same at Riverside Park in Manhattan on Aug. 22.
Volunteers can help out at Riverside Park by going to nyc.gov/parks/wicked.
