Mr. Peter Wolf’s recent letter expressed his “belief in a two-state solution, though it appears that Israel has made that more difficult.”

The 2000 Camp David Summit between Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, President Bill Clinton, and Palestinian Authority chair Yasser Arafat culminated in Mr. Arafat’s unilateral refusal to sign the resulting agreement.

Moreover, what specific proposals for a two-state solution can be cited that Arafat or Mahmoud Abbas have made either beforehand or afterward?

I perceive that Israel is constantly being challenged to justify its existence because it has already achieved statehood. A conversation needs to keep an even-handed premise and tone. And, most of all, maintain its factual basis.
