NYPD searching for stabber after meet-up

A man is being sought out by the New York Police Department after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck.

The 32-year-old victim reported to police he arranged to meet the man through an app at his apartment on Sedgwick Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road on the afternoon of Aug. 1.

At some point, the visitor reportedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a “cutting instrument,” police say.

While the accused stabber fled, the victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is said to be in critical but stable condition.

Fraudulent check written

A woman received a message from Chase Bank about a $20,000 check, police said. However, she claimed she originally had written the check for only $90.

The report was made early morning on July 19. The theft occurred on 600 West 246 St.

Robbed at gunpoint

A report was made by someone robbed by a person holding a gun. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. in front of 3636 Bailey Ave. on July 7.

The robber took cash and jewelry.

The case is being investigated by the 50th Precinct’s Detective Squad.

Shoplifter at T.J. Maxx

A store employee at a T.J. Maxx store reported a shoplifting incident on July 8 around 2 p.m.

The alleged robber took items from several shelves and exited the store with $171 in merchandise, police said.

Gym locker ransacked

A man was a victim of a theft at Blink Fitness Gym at 5520 Broadway on July 10, police said.

He placed his belongings into the gym locker. When he returned, he discovered the locker broken into and money and credit cards were stolen.

Grocery store robbery

There was a robbery at Stop & Shop at 5716 Broadway on July 12, police said.

At about 7 a.m. a person took grocery items from shelves and put them into their bag. When approached by a store employee, the robber took out a knife, then exited.

Police valued the grocery items at $127.
