Torched store an opportunity?

To the Editor:

An op-ed piece in the NY Times the other day discussed several strategies that the city could take to meet the pressures of housing and immigration

The 231st Street fire presents the city with an opportunity to do just that.

Rebuilding the storefronts as part of a mid-rise housing project should be considered.  To see what that would look like merely turn to the North side of the street.

Is anyone paying attention to this possibility?
