Arrest made in fatal shooting of 15-year-old in Kingsbridge Heights

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 25 in connection with the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Riley Billingslea, according to an announcement released by police that night. 

The 16-year-old, whose name has not been released, faces charges of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and two counts of criminal posession of a weapon. 

Billingslea was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head Aug. 12, after police responded to a call of a person shot inside of 2825 Claflin Ave., according to authorities. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, police reported. 

A 13-year-old was also found with a gunshot graze wound to the torso, and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
