Blanche Morganstern, better known as 'The Jewelry Lady.' 96

Blanche Morganstern, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, sadly passed away on March 12, 2022. She was 96.

She was born April 25, 1925, in Brooklyn to the late Mollie and Harry Meister. She  spent many years as a third grade teacher in New York City schools.

She was a force to be reckoned with and was affectionately known as “The Jewelry Lady” at the Riverdale Senior Center where she sold jewelry for more than 50 years.

In addition, she devotedly rooted for the New York Yankees, loved Broadway musicals and ballroom dancing, which she and her husband of 57 years, David, did with style and verve.

She is survived by her cherished daughter Anita (husband Avi), extended family and many friends.

She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband.
