Forged license plates discovered on car

A car stop led to an arrest on Friday, July 1, at the corner of Sedgwick and Reservoir avenues around 3:40 p.m. According to police, an officer with the 50th precinct pulled over a 2001 Toyota Corolla with tinted windows.

Upon further investigation, the officer learned that the car’s temporary New Jersey license plates were forged and the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The individual is being charged with counts related to forgery.

Auto grand larceny

A vehicle was taken from the 3200 block of Henry Hudson Parkway on July 1 around 7 p.m. The victim reported to police that he left his Jeep Cherokee locked on the street, but when he came back it was nowhere to be found. The car is valued at $15,000. No arrests have been made.

Small-dollar snatching

A woman snatched $50 out of a man’s hand on the corner of Broadway and West 251st Street around 3:30 a.m., on Monday, July 4.

The suspect then fled down Broadway, according to the victim. No arrests have been made.
