Janna Dicent makes Saint Rose dean’s list

Kingsbridge resident Janna Dicent, a Biology major of College of Saint Rose in Albany, earned her spot on the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

Dicent completed a minimum of 12 credits and maintained a grade point average of 3.5.

The College of Saint Rose is a private Catholic dynamic progressive college where their top priority is teaching. The college offers a wide range of programs for undergraduates, graduates and certification in various fields of study.

 

Connecticut College adds 2 to dean’s list

Two students from greater Riverdale made the Connecticut College dean’s list while one of them also walked the aisle for graduation.

Danso Kuzoe-Jones received his bachelor of arts degree in music studies and was named the 2022 spring semester dean’s list for high honors. Jaidan Robinson, Class of 2025,  also made the dean’s list.

The college, which has a population of 1,800 students, held its first in-person graduation in three years on May 22 as 422 students participated in the commencement.

College president Katherine Bergeron and Posse Foundation founder and president Deborah Bial addressed the graduates.

Posse is a nonprofit that provides scholarships to students to attend partner colleges and universities.

Senior class speaker was Emma Gould, an English major and scholar in creativity.

 

Clark University gives degrees to four locals

This semester, four Kingsbridge residents and one student who hails from the greater Riverdale area were some of the many students who graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, during its 118th commencement ceremony.

 

Kingsbridge

Sophia Rose Stewart-Chapman graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts with honors in community youth and educational studies.

G R. Jurcic graduated with a Bachelor of Art in studio art.

Rebecca Rose Thaler graduated with master of science in communication.

Jules Margarete Dowling graduated with master of science in geographic information science.

 

Riverdale

Billy Duffy graduated with a master of business administration degree.

 

Rubinstein earns Alabama degree

Riverdale native Ari Rubinstejn received his Ph.D.,  at the University of Alabama in early May as the university awarded 5,907 degrees during the spring commencement ceremony.

University of Alabama’s was founded in 1831 as a student-centered public research university.

Students are offered 200 undergraduate and graduate programs and their motto is “where legends are made.” They are known as the state’s flagship university.
