As any property owner would do with large amounts of rocks bordering their sidewalk, the problem has to be fixed, especially if it blocks their own driveway. And in this case, it’s a safety issue. After Horace Mann School’s annual inspection, the school found one of the many rocks outside its entrance had shifted. If it rained, the chances of the rock weathering and collapsing were considerably high. But when the rock was eventually removed, more loose rocks were discovered. Thomas Kelly, head of the private school, said this was not the first time they removed loose rocks on their property.
