Here at The Riverdale Press, we are always looking for new ways to connect with our community members and readers. In an effort to do so, we are introducing some exciting new outreach methods, including expanding our social media reach to Tiktok and introducing opinion polls.
These efforts allow us to find and tell stories in new ways, and we want to hear what community members have to say.
The Press is asking for local input on important community issues. While we continue to welcome — and encourage — letters to the editor, we are beginning to offer opinion polls as well. These offer a quick, easy way for community members to let us know what they’re thinking on certain local issues.
These polls can be found posted to our Instagram and Facebook accounts, as well as on the Riverdale Press website. Notices for polls will also be shared here, on the opinion page.
Some readers may have seen or participated in this past week’s poll, asking what the biggest community concerns are.
Results from opinion polls may be used in informing future coverage priorities, and may also be published on the opinion page of an upcoming edition of The Press.
Poll participants will also be given the chance to let The Press know what they’d like to see covered or polled in the future.
As always, personal information collected by polls will not be published, and is required for verification purposes only.
Our weekly print publication is our pride and joy, but it’s not the only way to keep up with The Press. While there’s undeniably something special about holding the physical paper in your hands, the online world beckons, so our team also uses social media to share important information, breaking news, stories and more.
