Protesters picket Russian residence

On Sunday April 20, Rabbi Avi Weiss lead a demonstration outside of the Russian Residence on Mosholu Avenue on Sunday to protest anti-Semitism in Ukraine and Russia after a flyer distributed in Donetsk, Ukraine told Jews they must "register" or face penalties including expulsion and confiscation of their property.
According to Rabbi Weiss, president of Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns, the Ukrainian Jewish community is caught in between the Kremlin, its Ukrainian separatist allies and the new government in Kiev. Each side blames the other for anti-Semitic provocations.
