Robbers point gun at toddler's head, steal car

Posted

Police say they're looking for two men they believe robbed a mother and her toddler by gunpoint in her building's lobby.

According to reports, the 35-year-old woman was with her 3-year-old son at her apartment building near Sedgwick Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road just after 8 a.m., Wednesday, when two men walked up and demanded she hand over her valuables.

They pointed a gun first at her chest, but then right at her child's head, police said. That was enough for the woman to give up her car keys, iPhone, and her wallet, which she said had $1,500 in cash.

They then found the woman's Range Rover outside, and drove off.

Police didn't provide descriptions of the men, but have provided video of their primary suspects, which you can view here

Anyone with any information on who they are is asked to call the New York Police Department's CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-8477, or by visiting CrimeStoppers.NYPDOnline.org. Information also can be shared on Twitter @NYPDTips.

All calls, police say, are confidential.
