Savor the Bronx Week is back

The second annual Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week will take place from Monday, Nov. 5 to Friday, Nov. 16.

Sponsored by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., American Express, the New York State Restaurant Association and the Bronx Tourism Council, participating restaurants across the Bronx will offer deals and specials.

Many local restaurants are participating in this year’s Savor the Bronx, including the Bronx Ale House, Jake’s Steakhouse, Piper’s Kilt, Riverdale Steak House, Oregano Bar & Bistro, Palace of Japan, Montezuma Restaurant and Santa Fe Grill.

Celebrate a century of running in Vannie

 

The Friends of Van Cortlandt Park will host a 5k to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the cross-country course at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m.

Attendees are asked to meet at the Tortoise and the Hare statue, which is located near Broadway north of West 246th Street.

The race will be run in conjunction with the IC4A/ECAC Championships that take place earlier in the day.
