Visiting a favorite history rest stop

To the editor:
I miss the days when the Catskills hotels featured performances by live entertainers like Danny Kaye and Sid Caesar.
I did not frequent the hotels where they worked, but I would see them often when I stopped at a famous snack spot on the drive upstate, the Red Apple Rest. Often, they rehearsed there.
So, it was a pleasant stop with great deli snacks.
